who we are and what we do

We are Joe & Sarah - a couple from South East London. Joe is a fine dining chef with 15 years of experience in high end restaurants and catering companies, and Sarah is an experienced event manager, specialising in event catering. Both out of work from Covid-19, we started experimenting with sourdough (like many others during lockdown!) in April 2020 and couldn't find any flour in the supermarkets so had to bulk buy from a catering supplier to keep on practicing! We made more bread than we knew what to do with so decided to sell it to a few neighbours, and before long crumbs was born! It has now grown into a business that we are very proud to call our own, and we are passionate about creating the best products possible for our customers, using the finest ingredients we can find.
